For 76 years, Pulitzer Prize–winning author Eudora Welty lived, entertained, and wrote stories in her Jackson home. A National Historic Landmark since 2004, the 1925 Tudor Revival welcomes history buffs, book lovers, and visitors of all kinds—just as it did in her lifetime. The Mississippi Department of Archives and History interprets the home to 1986, when Welty was still actively writing and traveling. Since opening to the public in 2006, the Welty House has drawn visitors from throughout Mississippi and the world.
