Join us for a Belhaven Bike Bus to the High Street Farmer's Market! Meet at Laurel Street Park at 8:30 am, and we will ride together down the Museum Trail to the farmer's market. Bring your whole family, friends and neighbors!
The Greater Belhaven Foundation serves as a community leader and trusted communicator for residents and businesses to learn about the projects, initiatives, and condition of our neighborhood. This year, we are holding three community meetings to present updates about what’s happening in the neighborhood. The meetings will also provide a forum for residents and businesses to ask questions and provide suggestions for future projects and priorities.
Children and families visit Belhaven Park to unleash their inner artists with this festive fall event that includes pumpkin painting, music, treats, and more. Students from the arts department of Wells APAC join us to help children with their spooky, silly, or abstract designs. This event showcases the artistic talent of our local schools and students and helps ring in the beautiful fall season in Belhaven! The Being Belhaven Art Series is funded in part by a grant from the City of Jackson and Mississippi Arts Commission.
GBF’s Belhaven Mountain Biking Trails Committee and the Jackson Trail Club are excited to announce the 3rd annual Belhaven Hills Classic! The Belhaven Hills Classic consists of an 8k race through Greater Belhaven, a 1-mile Kid's "Fun Run,” and a 1-mile Adult "Bier" Run. These races begin at the Belhaven Town Center, with the course running through the Greater Belhaven Neighborhood and along the Museum Trail. 2024 saw over 220 runners! The Belhaven Hills Classic will be held during Fertile Ground’s Oktoberfest on October 18th, and will kick off the day full of family-friendly festivities. The Belhaven Hills Classic was created by the Jackson Trail Club in conjunction with the Belhaven Mountain Biking Trails Committee to highlight our neighborhood’s historic homes, beautiful gardens, vibrant businesses, and welcoming parks and trails. The event also promotes the healthy outdoor recreational opportunities available in Belhaven and in the city of Jackson. Funds raised from this event benefit the ongoing maintenance and development of Greater Belhaven’s Parks and Trails, which remain free and open to the public. Registration coming soon!
In partnership with the Greater Belhaven Foundation, the Belhaven Garden Club organizes this annual neighborhood block party- a fun, festive, family-friendly event for neighbors to come together and celebrate Halloween! The event is held on the closed-off block of Belvoir Place, which is transformed into a spooky wonderland with Halloween-themed decorations, lights, music, carnival games and food trucks. Children can trick-or-treat, and pets can enter Chipper & Coco's pet costume contest. Belhaven Boo provides neighbors with a safe and fun fall evening. We hope you'll join us! $3 general admission for children and adults.
