Beautify, Secure, and Preserve Jackson’s most Historic Neighborhood
Belhaven Improvement Association (BIA) is a nonprofit corporation established in 1965 by Belhaven residents with a primary objective of preserving the character and integrity of this historic neighborhood. BIA is governed by a board of 15 volunteer directors who live in the neighborhood.
BIA is committed to making Historic Belhaven a safer and more beautiful neighborhood for all to enjoy! Our focus is to BRAND, BEAUTIFY, SECURE, and PRESERVE this great neighborhood. BIA is actively working on an exciting comprehensive beautification and security plan that is designed to enhance historic character with the use of strategic landscaping, historic street signs, Mississippi historical markers, and new gateway features that will provide classic upgrades to this beloved historic neighborhood.
