The Greater Belhaven Foundation's (GBF) Belhaven Mountain Bike Trails and the Jackson Trail Club are excited to announce the 3rd annual Belhaven Hills Classic! The Belhaven Hills Classic consists of an 8k race through Greater Belhaven, and a 1-mile Kid's "Fun Run” and a 1-mile Adult "Bier" Run, which will take place at the Belhaven Town Center and course through Belhaven Neighborhood and along the Museum Trail. This year we are also excited to introduce our 16k Road & Trail Race! The Belhaven Hills Classic will be held during Fertile Ground’s Oktoberfest on October 18th and will kick-off the day full of family-friendly festivities. The Belhaven Hills Classic was created by the Jackson Trail Club in conjunction with the GBF Belhaven Mountain Biking Trails Committee to highlight our neighborhood’s historic homes, beautiful gardens, vibrant businesses, welcoming parks and trails, and promote healthy outdoor recreational opportunities in Belhaven and in the City of Jackson. Funds raised from this event will benefit the ongoing maintenance and development of the GBF's Parks and Trails, including the Museum Trail, the Belhaven Mountain Biking Trails, Belhaven Heights Park, Belhaven Art Park, and Laurel Street Park, all of which remain free and open to the public. The GBF is a 501 c3. Race logistics will be coordinated by MS Race Timing.
